Relay behind the headlights... Normal?

Post by syncro up »

Hi,
Is it normal to have what appears to be a double relay in behind each headlight, its a 87 petrol model.
One of my headlights is out but I think the problem is a fault in the relay, just burnt out over time, from the corrosion on some of the terminals, its been there for a long time.

From what i can see, theres a positive feed, a headlight input, full beam input and respective outputs plus earths.

It's not standard but it is a known update to improve the light output.

Some people just run 2 relays (1 dip, 1 main) and some people, myself included, go down the four relay route.
