Does anyone know where I can find the correct code for my aaz alternator belt? Halfords cant help me and when I broke down first time the AA man put a universal belt on (which didnt last long). VW want a reg number, which obviously wont match their records...
I have tried Wiki but cant find it.
Any idea??

Yes its a 3 pulley set up. I can alter the tension from the alternator but dont want to put another universal one on. Thanks

And after you have measured it buy one that has the same length marked on it. Nothing simpler.
