Can anyone recommend a garage in the South East (it is in Bornemouth at the moment, and would need collecting from there) to do some bodywork and a respray? The cost I am being given by the garage where it is at keeps going up and up, and is now double the initial estimate which is a bit of a blow. I know there is some rot that needs sorting out and the prep of the bodywork (£2500) and a re-spray after that (£1800) but it seems to be going up and up. Would like to make sure I am not making a mistake and look at other otions first.
Or if you think this is a good cost, £4300 in total I would aprpeciate your guidance, I can pay it, I just don't want to be taken for a ride.
Cheers all.

Re: Recommendations for bodywork?
my god .....£4300
Are you sure it's a camper and not a sunken wreck?
Too much for me... £30 approx an hour for a welder is about the going rate.. ask them how many hours they expect to work on it... currently about 80 hours taking off some materials money.
that's ten 8 hour days on it.. it looks like it's a set of pier legs at that price
Respray price is a bit steep but OK

Sometimes wish I'd have used Mike but I really wanted to get involved with the project and don't think Mike would have put me up in his gaff for a few weeks/monthsFunkyDuck wrote:Very pleased that all being well, Mike aka metalmick8y will be taking on my bus and returning it to former glory..
