newbie help with dash !!

Post by howzy »

Hi

Bit new to this so bare with me , I have purchased a diesel t3 and have no working - dash warning lights/pre heat light/fuel or water guage
but I do have a working speedo and the lights around the dials come on when i turn the lights on !
I took the dash pod out and it's all abit of a bodged mess and the ribbon part looks tatty to say the least, is this dash pod and clocks something I can buy new or does any one know where I could source a second hand one ideally with the loom attached and cut so I could get a better idea where stuff should really go !

thanks in advance any ideas appreciated

Hi,

I had a similar problem with mine, speedo worked ok, lighting as a little ropey (intermittent), red temp light not working, fuel and temp gauge not working either. Similar to yours the pcb was ropey at best. I found mine to be the main connector from the wiring loom to the pcb. Mine was totally destroyed so I had to splice the wiring and solder fresh wires to the solid resistors/diodes (not sure if that's the right terminology).

This got me half way there, the lights did work (until I broke the holders), fuel gauge worked, temp sensor light works but is constantly flashing and temp gauge isn't, I'm thinking this is an unrelated problem to the dash because of posts I have seen on here and think its to do with the temp sender on the header tank.

Hope this has helped in some way
