bit of advice would be nice :)

Post by newvdubber »

hi im a new be to the site!
i have recently brought a T25 1979 devon pop top, ive been going to all the vw shows for a few years now and my boyfriend has been going since he was quite young. we always said when we were older we would like a camper, but on one of our mad moments we found one for sale for £500 and HAD to have it!
it needs quite a bit of work and had to be towed back home.
we have stripped the interior and started the work... we have found a friend of a friend to do some welding (which is the main issue) we also have a friend it the car body shop line, to respary it for us (when its finally prep'ed ready).. we also have a friend who is a carpenter ready to build us an interior.. get it ready hopefully for next year if can get ourself in to gear!!
My aunty is going to do me some curtains as shes a dab hand at the old sewing machine
but the rock 'n' roll bed needs reupholstering, i was hoping it wouldnt be to hard and could do it myself..
has anyone had a go at this or got any tips??

also im after a swivel plate for passenger side front seat, if anyone's got one for sale gimme a shout!
cheers.. also will upload some pics soon :)

Hi & Welcome,
Didn t realise vans were still available at that kind of money!
Have a good look around the site, use the search to help find topics.
Wiki at the top has a lot of information on and is a good place to start.

Sorry cant help with the recovering. :D
