Hi guys,
I've tracked the cause (or 1 of the causes!) of my oil leak on my 81 1.6 CT engine. The oil cooler is spitting oil from the front (front being nearest to front of van), so i'm guessing maybe a missing sealing ring or perished gasket in there somewhere. Will hopefully be able to wip it off tomorrow evening for a closer inspection.
However my questions are as follow:
Where can i get all the relevant rings and gaskets to replace when i remove the cooler? I am considering just buying a whole new engine gasket set as i've got a new inlet manifold on the way so will need new gaskets for that too. I've looked on JK but couldn't find a gasket set (or any of the oil cooler gaskets) for my engine size?
Can anybody give me a link to what i need?
Thanks for your time.
Jason

Re: Oil leak from oil cooler
Most major retailers do a complete replacement gasket set, excluding the rear and front crank seal. They cost about £55.00 but at this price will be good quality and give you everything you need for years to come. Try Megabug or Heritage as I know they both supply them.

Re: Oil leak from oil cooler
Ok i have replaced said gaskets but it's still leaking so gonna do the actual cooler this time. Seen one on ebay for a 2.0CU engine, will it fit my 1.6CT engine?
If someone can reply by 3 days and 14hours time, that would be appreciated
Many thanks,
