Are all engines relativly easy to transfer to other types?

Presumably if its air cooled it need to stay Aircooled? WBX needs to be swapped for other WBX? diesel needs to stay diesel?

Guess this is a general question about engines?

you can fit what you want into the back
i've seen 5cyl diesels, subarus, pintos, golf, passat, Seat, V6, petrol to diesel and visa versa ...and other WBX engines..

What fit's isn't the issue it's what you can afford to do
