Hi,
we have brought our 83 westy to france three times now with no problems. If its trouble free at home, it should be trouble free in France. Like the van dosent know its in France. Despite all our affection/swearing/coaxing to it, its actually an inanimate object.!
Nigel in cavan.
PS , no point being silly either, a few spares are always sensible.
Camping in France- will the van make it?!

Re: Camping in France- will the van make it?!
Well I have breakdown cover. Don't know whether its any good or not - didn't find there was much choice with a vehicle of our age!! Its Alps Road Rescue I think - I can't find the actual policy doc at the moment. But once I do I'll give them a call and ask them what it covers. Any idea what I should be looking for?
Never heard of Alps Road Rescue. I advise Green Flag or equivalent. You need roadside assistance, relay and get you and the van home service. Just in case.
