we finally got round to fitting the mounting brackets for the Fiamma F35 Pro we have on the Van we thought they would be useful for France in 3 weeks. Anyhow how does one get the feet from the awning into them? they are too big, do I remove the rubber on the feet on the legs for them to go in, it looks like they would get burst in the process?????
do you mean the brackets that mount onto the van so the legs of the awning rest on the van?,if so mine fitted ok,the awning has to be wound out quite far so that the legs fit into the brackets,I left the rubber seal on to protect the paintwork,if that makes sense
Mrs mash the feet should fit inside the cover, when you collapse the legs the foot becomes the outer end of the pair as you slide them into the tube and when rolled up it all fits in, just, be aware that the awning material can move in a slot in the cover so once you have the rolled up lot you sometimes need to move it one way or the other to get it centred so the end caps will close
I don't think the Mrs was too clear in the original post.
The awning has been working fine for a few months, we recently added the small white brackets that bolt onto the side of the van so the legs are held off the ground and don't need to be pegged in. As we'll be touring Europe we thought some areas might be too hard to get the pegs into and it would be more secure attached to the van.
The question is do you leave the black rubbery plastic on the foot as it is a very tight fit or do you take it off.
