Starter motor problem

Post by stevo1980 »

My starter has been recently not ticking over my engine iv just been getting a click then it will go after a few atempts. Its a 1600d Anyway it finaly got to me so i checked the forum to see what i needed to check, wires etc. In the end i managed to snap the end off the solinoid that the wires are bolted to so now need to buy a new starter. I have took the old starter out now and am trying to find one. The question is, i have been told i need to replace the bush but i dont know where it will be is it on the starter it self but surely it would have a new one with a new starter anyway. Or is it in the bell housing if so how do i get it out. Many thanks Steve

You will be looking for a long time - it is already in the starter in a diesel! Someone has been feeding you duff info.
