seat belts

Post by al7471 »

Hello all
I am a new memebr to the forum having just purchased a 1989 T25. I have a few questions, and would like to call on your knowledge please.
Q1, We need to fit a childs seat in the rear of the vehicle using a conventional 3 point inertia seat belt system (as in cars). However, we only have lap belts in the back. Has anyone fitted inertia belts in the back ? do they need to be fitted by a specailist ? .. any thoughts. I want to get this right as it's an important safety necessity etc.
Q2, Where is the best place to get a side awning ? any advice on awning design and pracacility would be most welcomed please.
Looking forwards to lot of fun with our new toy
many thanks

hi, and welcome.......

you need to have a look around here, and pop into the technical section , where you will find subforums under where you can find your answers........ also try the search?? searching seatbelts will turn up loads of stuff

then there is also the wiki up on the top bar...... take a look!

welcome ,fitting 3 point belts is easy you already have the bottom bolts were your lap belts are you just need to drill a hole at the top at back, you can get to this outside just take the air grill out and tighten your bolt,if you have work tops /cuboards the other side is a bit more tricky but still can be done ,i did my onside one in around an hour ,good luck do it yourself and save money.
