Hi
I am new to the club pick my first van up next sat, a 1987 leisurdrive crusader, fron leicester, can anyone help with what engine is in it, i have seen lots of letters after the engine type but don't know what these mean, did they change them by year? also apart from the usual oil, filter plugs etc what else is a good thing to do with a new van.
All help greatfully appreciated
Thanks Dave

Re: engine type
When you get the V5 note the cc and fuel type then it's easy to work out what you have, also if the white paper sticker is still present under the streering wheel at knee height on the body it will have the engine code on it, you can then check the code against theat stamped on the engine, info for which is on the wiki

Re: engine type
Hi and welcome to the forum.
On petrol vans the engine number is found here ...
it will most likely be a 1.9 engine with a DG prefix
Loads of guff in technical if you do a search
