Front left hand inner CV boot replacement

Post by ridealghp »

Is it possible to just undo the six bolts securing the inner CV joint to the diff, drop the joint down, remove the circlip on the shaft, slide the CV joint off and replace the boot?

nope
shaft out job I'm afraid, if you do both then drop the diff it's easier than disassembling the whole front suspension

You just need to open the big nut of the shaft, the 2 Inbus screws (red arrows) (take care for the brake hose) and the nut of the swaybar holder (arrow). Then you can put the shaft out in the position as seen on the picture (Mammutpark 2011, not me  )
