LHD to RHD foglight in RHD cluster

Post by Hacksawbob »

Found a RHD cluster in my shed clear out and I want to change from the shonky hanging off job the PO had done. Would I be right in thinking that the rear right hand loom doesn't have the positive feed for the foglight going to it? so Is the best way to run a wire from Left to right? whats the pin on the rear of the cluster that I need to run to if I do?

That's a good one.. I was just thinking off asking if on the Hella rearlight in the UK, the rear foglight is on the driverside off the van.... Our foglight is on the side behind the stearingwheel.
Because I would like to instal a secund rear foglight on my van and was thinking in that case to look for a UK version. So the van would be more modern and safly when we go to britain....
Yes I also was planning to pull a cable from one side to the other.
Anyone who has a spare in that case for me?

Indeed, the positive pin will be missing but the bulb holder is there. I drilled a small hole and used a small BA bolt (head on the inside) with a short spring from a pen. On the outside I used a couple of nuts and a small eyelet supplying the feed.....looks pretty neet and works well.
Yes..if you already have a N/S foglamp just loop across BUT.........remember the foglamp has to have a warning light that can be seen from the drivers seat.

easiest way is to fit rhd rear loom ,

simple to fit a case of unclipping

makes for a proper job!

mostbreakers will have them no problem.
