WHAT COULD I HAVE DONE??

just replaced the blower...what a "pooh" job!!!....bought a new wiper to fit whilst it was all apart ...thought might as well.but the new one was so noisy i put the old one back!!. the new one had a stupid half kind of stroke on the intermitant so thought it must be a duffer! .....but now the old one has aswell., fine on normal and fast but intermitant it has a half wipe and a whole wipeand it leaves the wipers in the middle of the screen, and i can hear the relay twang on the half stroke...what could i have done

I can't remember exactly how this works between the switch,relay and motor, but I'd check all the wire connections are ok like they're supposed to be in this diagram:

I'm not sure, but I reckon this could well be a problem with the earth for the intermittent relay - if you taken the dash out it might have become dislodged. Perhaps you could clean up the earth crowns while you're there, and check the relay connections too.

turns out that you have to time the wiper arms with the motor..must have moved it whilst trying to undo the spindle nut
