Hi i am a newbie to site and camping. We had our first camping trip this weekend and all was fine until this morning. My Mrs tripped the campsites hook up and we lost all power 12v and 240v. I have since discovered that the 12v fuse under the drivers seat had a bad connection. The leisure battery (under the rock&roll bed) was flat. The zig system does not make a noise and we don't hear a click (after reading some of the posts I assume I am supposed to hear these?) The leisure battery is connected to a 12v to 240v inverter but even though I bought a new battery this doesn't appear to work ? The wiring diagram I received with the paper work is different to what is actually wired up.
Has anyone got any ideas as I am unsure what the leisure battery is actually powering.
Many Thanks in advance.

Re: leisure Battery help ?
Hi Iannie84. Firstly, do you know what conversion you have and which Zig unit it is? Zig's don't 'click' (I think you maybe confusing it with the electronic igniter on some fridges) but some Zig's do 'hum' quietly as they have a transformer in them.
If you're unsure of what conversion or which Zig, pop a few photographs up

There are some fuses on the zig unit to check, and sometimes a trip switch to reset depending on your version of zig

Re: leisure Battery help ?
Hi, thanks for replying, it is a Zig CF8 I have ordered some new fuses so hopefully that will help ? I haven't got any pictures as yet
not that good at putting things on the computer. Someone has now told me that the leisure battery is not wired up through the Zig ? Don't know how true that is as the battery does go into the converter ?

Re: leisure Battery help ?
Not that familiar with Holdswoth conversions but the leisure battery may have a split charge system fitted that is totally separate from the Zig unit. Utilises a relay that switches the leisure battery to the alternator once the engine is running (see in Wiki for wiring diagram)
