Well, not been here for a while mainly due to lack of time with working and when not working busy busy with other things (one of them been camper vanning again :D)

Well bit of an update now :D

Originally I was going to do the AAZ conversion myself with my brother. After a number of emails and conversations with Andrew Simmons of Campershack and an email from Covdubber, I eventually plumped for a 1Y engine over the AAZ. The conversion was carried out by Andrew of Campershack.

The engine swap was squeezed in before Andrew and Annas wedding and I collected the van 1 week before as promised
After a natter, cup of tea I took the van for a spin and instantly felt the difference from the KY engine, well pleased with the results.

On our return home we booked a trip up to Whitby for the bank holiday weekend.
Van performed faultlessly on the 200 mile road trip, used a little bit of oil on the way up there but has since settled down.

I cannot recommend Campershack enough, Andrew and Anna both friendly, welcoming, very knowledgeable (knowing the T25 inside and out), and the engine conversion for me was A+.

Also advise on the forum was second to none from both Andrew plus other members and I can’t thank you all enough.

Cheers

Andy

 :D
Thanks for your kind comments, Andy
Great to hear you're pleased with the engine, and that it's performing as promised.
Glad you're getting out there and catching up on lost camper time! :ok

Having read this post I'm now convinced to do the KY for 1Y swap (as opposed to AAZ), that is if I can find one for sale. Any ideas anyone please?

Also, is the swap as simple as it seems or are there other parts I will need other than the block and head?

Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
