Front Brake Calipers

Post by 1_eyed_jim »

Hi,

removed the front wheels today to do some pre-MOT checks and the front brake calipers are completly rotten (don't know how it passed last year!)

My question is if im replacing both calipers does it matter which type I buy? are the mountings the same across the range?

Thanks

you need the late calipers but you have to decide if you have ATE or girling calipers, there are pictures on the brickwerks site to help
single piston
Brickwerks, VW Heritage and GSF sell them... plus others

Thanks, however it seems the pictures look nothing like the calipers i have. :? Mine look like more crescent shape and possibly double pistoned ones?

Yes a photo is an excellent idea  but what do you mean when you say they are 'rotten'
