temp gauge playing silly b----ers

hi. i have a 1982 T25 diesel.needle on temp gauge decided to die.
when i turn eng. on, light above flashes however the needle doesnt work.
the gauge works when not connected.

anybody out there in T25 world had a similar problem.

Sounds like it could be an earthing issue. Take a quick look in the Wiki and search for temp sender or the like. There is loads of good stuff on there. It helped me find out the issue with mine.

It does sound like an earth so take a quick look at the first page of 'what did you to to your T25 today?' thread in general chat and you can see how I over came the problem (I have a diesel too). If the sender is buggered you can pick them up new on ebay for pennies.

Yup - possibly earthing but on mine it was a dead sender - peanuts on flea bay and less than a tenner from motor factors!
