mop discs question, worn out or meat underneath?
there's loads of meat left on my mop discs but they wear down on the top part of the flaps, does anyone use them past this point? however the efficiency of the disc goes down for a while when it's worn down to cardboard, what's the trick for exposing the meat underneath? do you grind them down on some masonry?

Hello,
We use hundreds of these at work each week.
Every time I have a really good finish to do I use a new disc. The old ones are stacked on spikes for use on parts that will damage a new disc.
When they are worn for the 2nd time, they get sent to finishing where the painters use them for a final sand prior to degrease, phosphate and paint.
Try to use the disc very flat, and with a smooth forward motion, don't wave it about

the disc is still really thick, seems to be lots of good unused surface underneath this top surface of worn disc?
surely you can use it until this top bit of flap wears down? or is that part of the process when making them?
