Do you mean he's renewed the batteries?
Martin.

Diesel is an engine not a fuel.

I liked camping so much I went full time.

Hello,

not sure whether you mean the key, transponder or remote control have been changed, but it sounds a bit like a transponder issue to me. You can use vag-com to get the immobiliser and ECU to recognise keys if you're really lucky:

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

but I'm afraid even Ross-tech don't know how to do it post 2002:

http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/faq_4.html#4.15" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

hope that's slightly enlightening

Ewen
