I have just fitted my new westy pop top roof bar brackets (same as you get off Gunzl website, the ones that rest in the rain gutter when the roof is down), and I have to say they look great, & the roof box sits very well.
The problem.......I also have a Fiamma F45i wind out awning sitting on 2 Fiamma T3 rain gutter brackets. When I go to lift the roof the bottom of the roof bar bracket hits the awning and pulls off the rubber protector on the bottom of the bracket. When I come to close the roof the bottom of the braket sits on top of the awning and I have to push the side of the roof very hard to get it to drop inside and close.
What I suspect I need to do is try to re seat the awning about 2cm further out from the van, but I'm not sure how I could do this without some serious bending of the brackets (which considering they cost me 50 quid I'm loathe to do

Has anyone else hit this problem? If so how did you solve it? If not, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Matt
