RM 212f fridge gas not lighting.

Post by meggles »

I've looked on WIKI and in my manual but can't find the answer. I did exactly what it said in the user manual but the pilot won't light. It says to turn the gas control to 3 and hold in. (Voltage switch to centre position) and push igniter button... a click should be heard. I only hear the sound of the switch being "switched". It's a switch with "0" and "1" on it, not a push button. Am I doing something wrong?
Any help/advice much appreciated.

Does your fridge control fascia look like this?

If it does, (and my money is on 'yes' to that) then you have electronic ignition. Switch on and it should flash with a faint clicking noise as it tries to light the gas. If it don't flash and click then either it's not getting 12v or it's shagged..............
