Wiper motor replacement

Post by slobbo »

Any hints and tips. Wiper motor packed it in. Is it a dash out job or is there an easier way?
Cheers
Rob.

I don't have a glove box on mine so took the tray out and I can see the bast... but can't reach the nuts. Job for next weekend now. Spent today cleaning the engine bay and positioning an oil catch tank. It is going in to a local VR6 specialist. He is making me up an intake pipe, running some hard fuel lines, completing the catch tank install and hopefully sorting out the starting problem I have.

Took the roof rack I fitted last year but have never used because it is costing me a couple of MPG. Anybody want a swish VAG aluminium roof rack/tray thing?
Cheers
Rob.

Thanks Rob, but not for me. I'm interested in something a little more substantial to take sand ladders and offroad kit.
cheers Patrick.

The vr6 wizard at Trix has found the culprit which has been plaguing me since January. The brand new idle stabilisation valve was goosed so the supplier is sending another. The garage I put it in to fix last time just messed around with the throttle to get it sort of working. Trix has reset everything and it is now purring like it should. With the roof rack off and the engine running right hopefully I will make the 20 mpg mark again. Am getting about 14 at the moment. Ouch. The exhaust has a hole as well so he is fixing that as well. Should help as well. Looking forward to a blast this weekend now.
Cheers
Rob.

Cmon Rob get your Syncro out of Trix. I want to get my mini Syncro in on Monday for some major work with the dashboard.
