Hello All!
I have a bit of a crazy question. My dad's old Peugeot 406 has failed it's MOT on suspension issues so he's going to scrap it - but it has a top-notch engine (low mileage diesel, bombproof). My T25's engine needs a bit of money spending on it soon (injector's are on the blink) - and I wondered if it would be worth my while considering salvaging the 406 engine for the van!
I currently have a 1.6 TD engine (taken from a Passat several years ago, before I bought the van), but this 406 one is a 2.0 TD - does anyone have an opinion on whether this conversion is a viable option, i.e. do you think it would fit etc..?
I did see a few years ago (on ebay) a T25 that had a Peugeot diesel engine conversion but I can't recall if it was from a 406!
I know it's not for the purists - but...a free engine with low mileage, and a 2 litre....it's tempting!!
