bleeping noise
Hi guys, can anyone shine a light, i´ve got a bleep bleep from the lefthand side of the engine bay when the ignition is left switched on. engine starts ok & sounds really good, but it´s abit iffy on tickover, i got this van as a basket case & rebuilt the motor, but there´s always a few teething probs, it´s a 2.1 dj by the way

Has a previous owner fitted an alarm, or a reversing beeper maybe?
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.

nothing as loud as that, probably if the engine lid is on & the back door closed you wouldn´t hear it, the noise is coming from around the coil area, i´ll have another listen & see if i can find exactly which component is doing it..BOXY wrote:Has a previous owner fitted an alarm, or a reversing beeper maybe?
