Horn stopped working - but get 13v at the horn :(

Post by ringo »

Hi,

I wonder if anyone has any ideas of where i can look to sort out this problem.

My LT failed its MOT on the horn not working (i heard him sound it once and then it didnt work again).

I changed the horn and have tested it on the battery - and the horn works.

The volt meter reads 11 odd volts when the horn button is pressed - measured at the terminals of the horn.

Im guessing there is a dodgy earth or a poor connector.

Has anyone got any ideas of where to look first? Any common faults?

Cheers,

Thanks guys. It's started working again but I'll give that earth crown a clean anyway.
