Can anyone identify where this goes?

Post by mitchellsfold »

Folks.

Reassembled everything in my Joker and found this left over - oops!

Everything seems to be working though?

Tis most likely the 12volts going to the fridge (yours is a 3 way, gas, 12volts and mains)
or
Power going to the small front panel above the fridge (the one that has the row of LED warning lights and two small toggle switces) and less likey, the harness going from the micro switch under the sink tap to operate the cold water pump.
The fridge only works on 12 volts when the engine is running (I seem to remember) :ok

So....does your LED panel work?
Does your tap pump work?
and...does the fridge get cold on the 12 volt setting (engine running) baring in mind it can take several hours to get cold.

Thanks for the reply!

Well
Pump works
Panel illuminates
Usually get the fridge cold on the hook up before we leave.
Had assumed it was working on 12v but you may be right. There was no obvious other end when I reassembled! Damn.

Job for a day when I'm not off camping the next day -'doh!
If I Circuit test it with ignition off and then with engine running it should give me a clue right?

It'll be on top of the fridge no doubt....
No worries as I'm sure I have read that these are quite safe running on gas whilst moving.....please don't take my word for it but I'm sure I've read somewhere (Joker manual or something along those lines) that it's fine to run on gas whilst moving, with the exception of; whilst on ferries and the channel tunnel where it absolutely must be turned off.

Indeed....as long as your fuses are intact on the drivers door pillar (again...I believe one is for the eberspacher and the other for the fridge...fuses that is)

In run mine in both my vans on gas all the time - you just have to remember to turn it off before filling up! This is the important one.
