Fiamma rack - locks & covers

Post by AdrianC »

Chaps & Chapesses,

Have any of you got the Fiamma 2-bike cover or any other bike cover, to keep 'em protected whilst on the rack? Worth getting?

Also - how do you lock 'em on? Just a normal bike lock?

Any experience and dos/don'ts welcomed.

Re the lock. I swear by my one of these: http://www.canoesandkayaks.co.uk/produc ... Playboater.

Threading it through the kit and locking the bobble into the back door of the bus works fine. Also, if you're using it for equipt on a car roof rack I suggest using the boot as the anchor too. I've seen too many car doors 'kneed and heaved' to think that's a sensible option. Of course, if someone wants your bike/boat badly enough they'll get it...but using this device makes me feel a lot less nervous about leaving the old girl at motorway services etc., and that's half the battle.

Sod the cheap halfords bike  I'm more worried about how easy it is to remove all Fiamma bling. Both bike racks and awnings are easy to remove
