Coil Negative in dash?

Post by bmouthboyo »

Hi guys,

about to install a tachometer and was wondering before I run a wire the full length of the van if there is a coil negative wire around the dash? Didn't know if they install the wires regardless if my current clock has one or not.

Thanks

Depends on your van.
Early ones didnt have a wire, late ones did. Change over about 1984, I think.
If your van origionaly had a diesle engine there wont be a wire either.
