coolant level light
coolant level light doesnt flash on start up like it use to any ideas ? please

possibly break in continuity of system check the multipin connector under dash. then get your multimeter out and try and find where those volts are going astray.

still no joy is there a relay for this or is that only on later models mine is 1.9 petrol 1984

Hi, I had a similar problem but the other way round; the light wouldn't stop flashing and the gauge always read high. The levels were all OK, and the header tank sensor was fine. I eventually traced it to the multiplug which is under the dashboard. All the connections were dirty which I cleaned up and once reassembled, all worked fine including the dashboard lights which had also stopped working.

check all the earths too, loads of times faults end up with them!
