Bonjour mon ami :)

Its a PICT 34 / 5

The engine is running and Ive taken a guess at the vacuum pipes.....I have 4 pipes all running from a central 4 way connector in a cross configuration. I have attached one to the air filter box, one to the accelerator damper, one to the connection next to the damper (slightly to the right) and the last one to the flat side of the distributor advance / retard thingy (?) The conical side of the distributor thingy is connected by a seperate vacuum pipe to the left side of the carburettor. Its seems to run ok so maybe I guessed right?

Hello,

Sounds not too far off.

Just to be sure, make a good big sketch of the system on a piece of card, photo and post it.

2 things

1) You must make sure the timing is right. If all your system is working, Your timing will be 5 degs. ATDC.
Do you have access to a strobe timing light?

2) Engine oil temp. After a good 20 min run stop and check the temp of the oil on the dipstick by touching it with your finger. It should be hot but not hurt :!: :!: :!:
