Sh*t house chemicals.

Post by Simon Baxter »

Okay. out of my depth here!
I bought a bog for the girls to use in the van after one of my girls left a festival toilet crying from the smell!
Buying the bog is great, fits in the westy bog box an everything, but i presume there are some chemicals?
Tell me more, I'm lost!

Fenwicks top and tail. About £12 for 2.5l from Halfords. Smells like bubble gum!

you can also get the 'blue' in little 'dry' tea bags ,which are fine and take up less room in the van

If its just the weekend then I don't bother with any , might stink in the warmer months a bit but I've handled and smelt worse
if your on 'site' then empty it in the morning .. rinse and ready to go again , saves money and I'm not a fan of chemicals
you can also get 'green' chemicals ,ecco friendly but folk have reported them to be not so good

Agreed, we put ours outside (usually at the back) surrounded by one of those windbreak things.

Take 2 bottles into the bog?

Not me. I just dump and go.

Never saw the point in paying for 2 seperate lots of chemicals. Every porta loo I've ever been in just uses Blu Flush. I never saw the point in shelling out extra money on the pink stuff.

Just put some Blu in the bottom section of the bog, then put some in the top and dilute it down with fresh water. Job done!

Have you taken it apart yet? Our new one from "Lidl's" last year had a complementary starter pack of fluids tucked away between the top seat bit and bottom loo bit.... :ok
