VIBRATION AT 30MPH...NOT TRACKING THOUGH

Post by LLOYDIE »

I've started having vibration from the front of my van...I took it to VW garage as they were the only ones who could do the tracking, camber and caster. Apparently the air was blue in the workshop and 4 hours later the technician appeared and said it was done as best they could but it was almost spot on. The vibration is still there from about 30mph. It has been suggested that it may not be the suspension at all but the prop shaft vibrating??!!
Has anybody else come across this? The van was fine up until then. Saying that....the camber was right out at one point where the wheels looked like a clowns car!!! They seemed to have 'loosened' and slipped down.
The only other change has been new front springs and shocks and anti roll bar drop link bushes. :ok
Advice urgently needed.

Thanks

book a wallet emptying with Baxter if you can afford main stealer rates - would be better value for a T3 or did they do you fix price deal :rofl

i`d jack all 4 wheels of the ground and drive the thing in gear @ 30mph a tidy mechanic or a keen eye should pick something up.
