Need help to identify part/s

This is probably a silly newbie question with an obvious answer but...

...whilst doing some work in the bus I noticed a fluid container under the front wheel arch that had it's connecting pipes hanging off. There is also one on the other side (also with fittings hanging off). Both containers look empty. I could not find where the pipes went to and can't find in the Haynes manual.





The bus is an '84 1.9 WBX

fuel tank breather balance/vapour tanks check out the fuel section in Haynes should be in there, don't fill her full till you've sorted
