Front seats

My girlfriend has offered to buy them (comes under the heading of gift horse and mouth, lucky me).
At mom we have odd standard seats and want to replace with matching swivel. I see mention of the volvo one and also captain (do you get volvo and captain?).
Any input as to what type and how easy they are to fit would be much appreciated - average DIY'er here.
