Easter Pics, Somerset

Post by paulo999 »

Had a great three day break out west in that lovely weather we had.

Some people I know are really good at putting on events. Sometimes they get paid to do it, sometimes they do it just for fun. This one was 'for fun'. A few hundred of us, with the early arrivals helping lug and build. Lots of people who live in their vans and trucks all year round. And many more who just having a party / camping weekend.

Here's a few photos:

Take a field, and put stuff up like loos, and a club tent.

Bring a truck of party kit. The bits on the back are jet engine housings, converted into tables.

Put up stuff. These lamposts shoot flames and look really nice at night.

Make the woods all pretty, with tree houses, zip wires, nets and ladders so people can go climbing.

Party till dawn:

Fab party. All legit, licensed, land rented, but not that you'd know. Great seeing a convoy vehicles piling up the lane, very old school, and few T25s on site of course.

Looks really cool, but no mention of family camping, baby changing facilities maybe even milk warming.

Fair to say it wasn't a particularly family orientated event. :)

Am assuming Alan = V-Lux - Am sure our paths will cross. :)

It was indeed an Arcadia party, they of Glastonbury fame. They're good at putting a show on, even on a small scale. 8)
