Coolant/radiator problem

Post by TheLoveBus »

Can any one help me.. ?!

I have a T25 1.6 diesel . Last week the lower coolant hose split (possibly blew) while i was driving. I had this replaced and now 300 miles later the radiator has blown too. What could be causing this ? Some sort of over pressurization/over heating ? Any help would be gratefully appreciated...

If the cooling system is blowing radiators and pipes then it needs to be investigated
You can have the cooling system "sniffed" for combustion gasses, which happens if the head is cracked and it's letting gas into the cooling system pressurising it

Alternatively the header tank coolant is not being allowed to expand into the top up tank behind the flap, due to a faulty cap.

and finaly you could have a blockage in the radiator/cooling system
