Thermostat Cover Water Pipe Leak

Post by GBHgpJON »

Early DG engine.....just noticed a leak on the metal pipe from the stat housing to the water jacket/ head, its leaking around the joint.
Is this just a case of a new gasket?....and if so any links/part nos to said gasket.
And was it do??? :D
Noticed it two days into a trip to Brittany.....apart from a sleepless night after finding it, it wasn't a problem, thankfully!!! :?

E D I T....Found the gasket on the heritage site......
So any tips on fitting....is it worth replacing the o ring t'other end, in case its damaged with all the tugging etc while cleaning gasket end???

No as the pipe is "sprung" with a small rubber section in the middle
