Handbrake cable
does anyone know how you remove the guiding tube for the primary handbrake cable without having to remove other pipes fuel tank etc. thanks

Its a tank out job or at least lower the front edge with trolley jack I'm afraid. The guide is an interference fit onto a clip which pulls down, clutch pipes are near it so you may cause damage if you are trying to use long tools to pry it away. I had a look at it last week and I went for a bodge repair in the end (welded 13mm bar to snapped original) . Aidan described what he could see on his syncro which doesn't have the tank there so he could see it all. Once the tank is out there are a heap of other things that suddenly become accessible that you may want to "look at" but tank out esp on petrol with the breather pipes is a can o' worms. Good luck!
