2.0 CU Engine problem

Post by paul66beetle »

I seem to have a slight intermittent problem. I may need pointing in the right direction?

Took it for a run the other day and it seemed a bit like I had kangeroo petrol, and it showed even more when going up a hill. I have fitted new plugs, cap & rotor.

Took it for a spin again and it happened again but then sorted itself out when I came back.

Engine seems to be ticking over a bit low sometimes as it has stalled a few times when its happened.

Just wondering what to check next?

Ok! Drove it today & yesterday it drove absolutely fine. Didn't cut out at all and no kangaroo fuel!

Could have been the heat over the weekend, its a bit cooler now. So will watch it and see what happens.

tick over IS slow on my CU engine, reversing in a car park, etc, can make mine stall, but mines an auto so cant rev it up and use the clutch,
