Correct dip stick

Post by kingkhung »

Hello just a quick question, i'm starting to think I have the wrong dip stick in my t25. The difference between minimum and maximum marks seems to be about half a pint which i'm sure is incorrect. I read in the haynes that it was around a liter so when I first noticed my oil was at the minimum I topped it up about half to 3/4 liter next thing I know its chucking it out everywhere. Since then every time I top up it seems to leak a lot for a while before becoming a small occasional drip. My dip stick has 2 little nipples on it for min/max as opposed to two notches, does this sound correct? I'm assuming i've blown a seal or 2 with overfilling that are gonna need replacing. YAY. Any help much appreciated.
Cheers
