took my friend home today from work and noticed it felt / sounded as if was running on 3 cylinders . After about 10/15 mins into journey started misfiring ,back firing , lack of power , stalled at light's ,then next set of lights STALLED again ! So went into engine bay and thought it could be t-piece servo for carb balance , a bit mushy and knacked.
Any way limped home and have ordered crappy t-piece for 5 quid etc.
Is there anything else i should checked tomorrow.
Thanks Daz

The elbow on the other end of the balance pipe (right hand carb).

Re: running fault on cu 2ltr
The elbow like Boxy said. When mine popped off I had to really keep the revs up to stop it stalling , not easy with an automatic

Check the fuel filter on the tank outlet as well. Fuel starvation might be causing a weak mixture rather than an air leak.

Re: running fault on cu 2ltr
Put new fuel filter in , as the other one is full of "pooh" rusty coloured dust ,still runs crap .so thinking petrol tank is shafted
.
will wait for my new parts to come fit them and if that dont work take the the tanks off and clean .
I will also check fuel pump rod . Anything elese anyone can think of !

Re: running fault on cu 2ltr
Check the brake servo hose on to the left of the LH carb for air leaks, also around the carbs themselves. I think the leak would have to be pretty major for such erratic performance. If the fuel filter is filthy you´re probably on the right track anyway.

I think there's a filter built into the pump. If the inline filter has fallen to pieces crap might have made it that far.
