My electric hook up kit has come and I want to start wiring it up this week.
I want to install the connector on the licence plate flap as I have seen other here do but I was wondering where people have put the consumer unit as in the instructions it says that the cable running to the unit should not be more than 2 meters which restricts a bit where I can install it.
Any photo's of your install would be great.
regards
Matt

Other 'common' locations are in the wardrobe or in the cupboards next to it. These arrangements are usually when the hook up point is located in the side panel of the van though so the cable to the consumer unit is kept fairly short.

thanks guys.
as I have mounted the connector on the licence plate flap it looks like I am going to have to make some room for it in the rear cupboard, which currently does not exist.
thanks
