Fan Direction Cables

Post by bmouthboyo »

I took my dash apart nearly 2 years ago now (god time flies) and am currently in the last steps of getting it all back together.

However...

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to connect the 2 cables that control what vents are open. The one for hot / cold is fine.

I have offered the top lever cable up that's on the right side of the heater unit and can see a type of bracket where it should be held but I cannot find what part holds it there (sorry if this is a bit vague).

Does anyone have a diagram, or pics or a link to the part I need?

So to sum up I know where it needs to be attached but not sure what holds it there.

Thanks

Even a simple picture of how the cable shroud is retained in place would be a godsend ..

Thanks

Last call before I give up on this lol

Have trawled through forums, manuals and nothing.

I need to know how the heater cables on the blower unit are secured to it.

I know where they go, how to route them etc but cannot figure out how they are secured to the brackets????

Anyone have or could take a picture of how its secured or the part that holds it in place so I can source or find in my box of camper bits what I need

Thankyou

Here's some pics as I had my speedo binnacle out to try and replace the glass...
Mine is an '85 diesel with three toggles just in case that makes any difference:

From the centre fag box above the radio:

then from under speedo binnacle:

Hope that helps,

Anyone know where I can find them? Or what they are even officially named as?

Found these on ebay but they are in America. Is that what I am after?
