HI Guys,
I need your help with identifying what to replace on my gearbox. Only problem with the box is that it was leaking from the input shaft seal, as you can see you oil thrower is worn and possibly worn the bell housing but I'm not sure so what do you think about:-
Do I need a new input shaft (the shaft is still quite smooth)?
Do you think the bell housing worn or do I just need a new oil thrower?
Anyone know where to get the thrower from?
what do you think?
Cheers guys

Hi mate,
Thanks for the link, I did see that while searching but that was before update. Looks like you have exactly the same issue as myself!!!!.
I have not been able to find the oil thrower as a standalone part but will keep looking. It looks like people are suggesting it comes with the bell housing ?
Cheers, will let you know if I find anything ,

Yeah looks that way although I wouldn't be happy with it bonded - not sure many glues will be that long lasting with the oil/ temp cycles etc.
Are you going to try?
I have spotted a bell housing for around £100 so may just go for that. Been an expensive few months with the new engine etc but I just can't wait to drive the van!
I am also considering sending the box to Aidan for a higher 4 th gear and have him sort it - just waiting for him to come back to me price wise

Re: advice on my gearbox (pictures)
Ok guys I'm desperate to go camping!
I think that I may try and bond the oil spreader back to the bell housing as I have not been able to get hold of a new bell housing yet.
I know I said I wouldn't be happy but I really want to go camping
The oil spreader still sits central in the bell housing so it's not worn externally although it may be worn internally but I have no point of reference.
Any suggestions of how / what to bond it in with?
Cheers guys
