Good Morning guys,
after aquiring my van last week and this weekend looking like its going to have reasonble if not very nice weather i want to get out and enjoy my new found adventure wagon, so im thinking of trying to get a spot at wellington country park or even down to the new forest, however i am a little nervous of using my gas cooker and gas heater without checking them or having someone check on there function / safety first, what should i personally look at to help me see if anything is dangerous or is it only safe to use when a professional has given them the green light, if so then i shall just take extra clothes blankets and a disposable bar b q... id love to use the heater but obviously would like to wake up in the morning conscious and without a banging headache, thanks for your help thus far
Andy

Re: gas checks
Buy a carbon monoxide alarm preferably one with a level indicator on it like this ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KIDDE-900-0230-CA ... 5adff06191 as well as a smoke alarm. DO NOT use a CO indicator disc .... these tell the emergency services what killed you.
Your local caravan dealership should be able to point you in the direction of a gas safety check.

Re: gas checks
As above
Take it to a caravan service centre if you have concerns, for an appliance/habitation check
Or just fit a CO alarm..
I doubt the propex would give any problems as the burner unit is sealed for life.
