Compression figures for 2.0l aircool?

Post by Footprint »

Would someone in the know be kind enough to tell me what should the compression pressures be?

Also what's the range limit, 1 bar between highest and lowest is a typical figure - is this the same for rattly old VW aircools ? :D

Thanks in advance.

If mines getting 9.5 to 10 bar does that mean I've got a build up of pressure in the crankcase or is that something completely different and unrelated?

This thing, though the garage hopes to have another look today or tomorrow, at no charge apparantly
