Advice needed please - The return fuel pipe on left bottom fuel tank outlet (near side) - Where does this go to exactly ? Would be grateful for any help on where this fixes.

On a 2 litre air cooled I don't think it goes anywhere. On mine and others I have seen its blanked off.....1.6 air cooled use said fuel return
Mmm what's that strange smell from my exhaust...

Blanked on mine too.
Maybe VW put it there so owners could run a second fuel feed in case a single one couldn't keep up with the rate a CU engine gulps petrol down. :rofl
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.

:rofl
Boxy your right!

However, I have considered putting a fuel line off it and 'teeing' it into the other one.......the idea being it would ease the amount of work the fuel pump has to do and also, (with the sh*tty tank I have) keep the fuel flowing if one side gets crudded up!
:rofl
