Do I need a new regulator and where to get one?

Post by dominicgg »

Hi all,

I have a small gas cylinder, and I attached the regulator to it last year, and it worked fine. However, when I disconnected the regulator the gas continued to escape.

I took it to a local caravan shop and they said it was probably a faulty cylinder, so replaced it for me.

The only problem is that this has happened with the new cylinder too now.

So I am wondering if it's the regulator which is damaging the cylinders, and if so, how easy are they to replace and where is the best / cheapest place to get one.

Thanks.

Dom

Hi is it the one where a pin opens the valve in the bottle? If it is I would change it and go for the next size of gas gottle and a different regulator as we had the same problem a few years back.
